HOW IT WORKS

Claim. Build. Banter. Climb.

ZoneIN is a fan-operated sports community. Every team has a page. Fans claim seats. The community goes live at 100. Then the race never ends.

1 · Pick your team

Start at /discover and find the team that's yours. We seed every major league: NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, MLS, EPL, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A, Ligue 1, Eredivisie, EFL Championship, FIFA Men's + Women's national teams, FIFA World Cup, Liga MX, F1, college football + men's basketball, PGA Tour, and UFC. 686 teams total, with more added as fans request them through /contact.

Click CLAIM A SEAT on the team page. Free, instant, no card. The first team you claim becomes your primary. You can claim additional teams as secondaries — they show up in your follow list, feed, and Zone dashboard but only one team can be your primary at a time. Primary status determines which team's color theme paints your profile and Zone.

2 · The Race to 100 (and beyond)

The fanbase race begins immediately. The first 100 fans to claim a seat on a team earn a permanent Founding Hundred badge, with their numeric rank locked in for life. The moment claim #100 lands, the community goes live — its board opens, banter boards spawn around real-world matchups, and the team page transitions from pre-launch placeholder to an active community room.

After 100, the milestone ladder continues forever: 500, 1,000, 2,500, 5,000, 10,000, 25,000, 50,000, 100,000, 250,000, 500,000, 1,000,000, and beyond. Each rung is a permanent badge stacked on the team page hero. Every fan who was on the roster when a milestone crossed gets the matching badge on their profile. The leaderboard at /race ranks teams by how close they are to their next rung, so the team about to cross something climbs above teams with a higher raw count.

3 · The Zone (your dashboard)

Once you've claimed at least one team, the /zone dashboard becomes your home base. Drag tiles in from a catalog: live scores, multi-game view, score ticker (with normal / fast / slow speeds), news feeds, your team's board, banter board previews, schedule, hot takes, video. Resize them. Save the layout. Save another one (Saturday CFB, Sunday NFL, Stream Stack mode). Switch with one click.

Free-tier users get six tile slots. ZoneIN+ subscribers get twelve, plus exclusive tiles, cursor cosmetics, profile-mark avatar frames, and ad-free browsing. Team+ subscribers (per-team) get team-themed cosmetics on top of that.

4 · The Board (where the community lives)

Every team has a Board — the main feed where fans post, reply, react, and pile on. The Board has weather: posts that catch fire show a 🔥 SPICY or HEATED glyph; posts that die a slow death show a CRICKET or FROZEN glyph; posts users mark RIP (rest in peace) collapse with a meme stub. Crowd Work reactions (slap, megaphone, cope, clown, GOAT, etc.) replace the boring thumbs-up. Daily limits keep reactions spicy, not spammy.

The Board also auto-spawns daily megathreads: a Daily Lineup at morning, Hot Takes at midday, Locker Room at night, and Watch Party threads for upcoming games. These megathreads pin above the regular feed in fixed order so anyone landing on the team page can drop in on the day's conversation in one click.

5 · The Rumble (cross-fanbase scoring)

When two fanbases have a real-world rivalry — bowl week, division weekend, championship night — the Rumble lights up. Every claim, post, reply, upvote, share, and AI top take by fans of either team earns Rumble points for their side. Points table is full and public at /rumble: claim +1, post +2, reply +1, upvote +1, AI top take +5, referral claim +5, outbound share +1 (cap 3/day), and a −2 penalty for cross-pollination (posting on the rival team's board during the matchup).

Daily cap: 50 points per user per 24 hours. Keeps the Rumble from being a post-spamming contest. Winners take the belt — a permanent record displayed on the team page and at /rumble/belt/[team]. Losers go into 24-hour Sad Mode (greyscale theme + tears overlay).

6 · Banter Boards (cross-fanbase chat rooms)

When a matchup is scheduled, a Banter Board auto-spawns at /banter — a temporary chat room where fans of both teams can talk trash, predict, react in real time. Boards open the morning after each team's previous game and lock a few hours after first pitch of the next one. They're ephemeral by design — a sharp window of cross-fanbase combat, not a permanent feed.

To post on a Banter Board you have to claim one of the two teams. Mods enforce strict rules — no slurs, no doxxing, no personal threats. Keep it sharp. The loser locks their team page into Sad Mode and the winning fanbase's belt count goes up by one.

7 · NIL Hub, Tickets, Store

For college teams: the NIL Hub lets fans support their team's NIL collective directly. Stripe Connect routes 25% of each contribution to the verified collective; ZoneIN retains 75% for platform operations, payment processing, and reporting. We're not the collective — we're the rail. Disclosed in full at /nil-disclosure.

For every team: Tickets surface SeatGeek inventory on team pages and game-thread pages. Affiliate-tracked clicks pay us a small commission. Disclosed at /affiliate-disclosure.

Team Store hosts approved fan-gear vendors. Apply at /vendors if you're a vendor.

8 · Verified teams

Teams that want to participate verify their ownership and sign the Brand Page Agreement. They unlock brand-controlled hero assets, broadcast posts pinned above fan content, subscriber-only chat tiers, AMAs, and — for NCAA teams — a 25% share of every Team+ subscription routed automatically to the school's NIL collective. They do NOT unlock the ability to remove organic fan content or override fan-elected mods — the room belongs to the fans either way. Start verification if you represent a team.

9 · Why this works the way it does

A lot of the design choices on ZoneIN come from one premise: fans are the content. The leagues already have their own apps. The networks already have their own studios. The teams already have their own broadcast voice. What's missing is the room where the people who actually care about a club show up to talk to each other without three layers of corporate intermediation. ZoneIN is that room. Everything else — the milestones, the Rumble, the Boards — is the architecture of getting people there and keeping them coming back.

If that resonates: pick a team and claim a seat. /discover is the front door.
